The sporting culture has arrived in India. With the number of young sports stars emerging there is a huge interest in children performing well in schools. Once again, people have started to take interest in participation of athletes and other professional players in the Olympic games, Asian games and other important sporting events across the world. We have always given importance to sports as part of education in Siddhartha Public School. In the last 15 years, we have upgraded our sports infrastructure to facilitate budding talent within our playgrounds. We believe in offering the latest equipment, tools and coaching to the children. Primarily the sports infrastructure of a school should be equipped with multipurpose facilities for each activity requires different set of exercised. Thus, the equipment & infrastructure should not only be appealing attractive but also serving different purposes.

We offer a strategically planned sports infrastructure, in the school for all-round development for the children. The coaches adhere to all the safety standards to ensure that there are no accidents while playing. Injuries are also taken care of with proper first aid. The management beehives in giving the children the best facilities. The supportiveness comes through the addition of new equipment in every academic session. It is essential to keep up with the new demands of advanced equipment which are the standard requirement for a school sports infrastructure. A well thought out architecture has been created to have ventilated spaces for indoor games. Yoga, chess, carom, gymnastics, and table tennis are available indoors. When it comes to outdoor sports, the vast 4-acre campus is at the disposal of the students. SPS has an enormous range of outdoor games like Swimming, Basketball, Lawn Tennis (clay courts), Athletics, Skating, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Volleyball, Throw ball, Cricket & Martial Arts. These outdoor activities develop the child holistically.

The school management offers safety to children who play on the grounds. Child safety is the first priority to ensure each child is protected. Doctor Suman Kumar, child pediatrician is the Director of Siddhartha and he heads the health department. The AVI Clinic and Ankura Hospital are adjacent school. Any child who is seriously hurt is taken to these professional medical facilities. Since there are boys and girls in the school there are separate washroom areas for them. As part of clean sanitation, there are separate washrooms for the facility also. Showers and toilets are located in the swimming pool area. The students are allowed to play from 6 am to 8 am in the morning and then from 4 pm to 6 pm.

Handling Competitions:

  • A well thought time schedule is made for different competitions.

  • The required material and manpower are provided with additional back up.

  • A special team of jury looks after any disputes.

  • First Aid, Sanitation & refreshments are given importance.

Parents who have admitted their wards in our school are invited to see the effort the school makes to help the children. Every academic year brings a new excitement and expectation. Our sports trainers, coaches are experienced to bring out the hidden talents of the children. The school grounds are the even playing field for every child. Who knows with our training, faculties and coaching some children may surpass the likes of C K Nayudu, Mukesh Kumar or even produce the new generations of P V Sindhu, Sania Mirza, Saina Nehwal, Azhar, V V S Laxman. The school regularly conducts official program that enlighten the children about the Indian government’s Khelo India schemes.
