Two day workshop on Inclusive Education

Inclusive Education (I E) is a process of increasing access to and the participation of all students in the regular education system.

The two day workshop on Inclusive education using active learning modes of the presentation was conducted for the teachers of SPS by CBSE resource persons Mr. S. Shankaracharya – Indus Universal School and Ms. Nalini Reddy – Bhavan’s Public School, BHEL.

The focus of the workshop was on identifying, and interventions in implementing inclusion of children with special needs in the classroom with the other children.

Inclusive education values diversity and the unique contributions each student brings to the classroom. In a truly inclusive setting, every child feels safe and has a sense of belonging. Teachers and parents need to work in unison to set learning goals and take part in decisions that affect them.

An empathetic approach helps the child to endure the limitations and find an underlying strength.

The workshop was an interactive session with a plethora of real life narratives and ideas.
